2018 marked the 150th anniversary of the Kaysville Police Department, established in 1868. Officers will be wearing sesquicentennial badges through the end of the year to commemorate this important milestone for Kaysville City and celebrate the history of the police department.
The officers came up with the concept of the badge design, which is a combination of the very first badge worn by Kaysville officers in 1868 and the current badge worn by officers today.
These sesquicentennial badges are a symbol of pride and privilege each and every member shares in being part of a department that has proudly served the citizens of Kaysville City for 150 years.
