  5. Fruit Tree Pruning Class

    February 28, 2026, 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM

    Pruning fruit trees can feel overwhelming, but knowing when, why, and how to prune is key to healthy, productive trees. This class combines classroom instruction with photos and explanations, followed by live demonstrations to give you the confidence to prune your own fruit trees for optimal production, structure, and health. Taught by Helen Muntz, Education and Learning Garden Lead for the District. If weather conditions prevent the outdoor portion, additional indoor instruction will be provided, including branch demonstrations to practice proper pruning cuts.
