- Visits from the Fire Department
Visits will last approximately 30-45 minutes and include an age-appropriate safety discussion and demonstration of the Fire Trucks and how they work. It is possible but not guaranteed that children will be allowed on or in the Fire Vehicles. This is dependent on a variety of factors and at the discretion of the Captain on Duty. During the visit, the crew will be in service; please prepare the children for loud noises and explain that the equipment can not be touched. The fire apparatus and ambulances may have to respond to emergencies during your visit. It is important for everyone’s safety to keep all children controlled throughout the visit and follow all instructions from the crew.
Visits are by appointment only and are limited to weekdays between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. They are not available on weekends or holidays. Complete the form below, and we will contact you to confirm your information.
Requests for the firefighters to bring the trucks to participate in a water event, field day, or last day of school celebration are on a first-come, first-serve basis, and only one water visit is available per day. If you are interested in this, please request your date as soon as possible.
Visits are limited to 30 minutes, with 15 minutes or less of water usage. Students are expected to act respectfully, responsibly, and safely. If the crew's instructions and safety guidelines are not followed, your location may be refused visits in the future. Please complete the form below to request your date.
October is Fire Safety Month Fire. The Fire Department hosts an Annual Open House in October during Fire Safety Week. Because of this, during October, the Fire Department is not available for tours or fire safety presentations. We encourage you to bring your group to our Open House for tons of great fire safety information.
