ATTENTION – Starting Friday Morning (August 17th) at 6 am, crews will be mobilizing heavy equipment to Main St to remove asphalt ahead of repaving from 200 N to the Layton Border. Tabs will be attached to the road in place of paint striping to assist traffic patterns, but please slow down and use caution in the area. As crews conclude with the removal on Main St, they will then move to Market and Boro to remove the asphalt there on Sunday (August 19th).
On Monday (August 20th) dirt crews will move in on Market and Boro and will start fine grading the road base and should be completed with grading and dirt prep on Wednesday (August 22nd). Paving crews will then first mobilize to Main St on Wednesday (August 22nd) to start repaving. Main St repaving will go through Friday (August 24th). As the Main St paving concludes, crews will then move to Market and Boro on Saturday (August 25th) and should conclude that day or on Sunday (August 26th).
With the water line replacement projects on Market and Boro, the gas line project by Dominion Energy and now a paving project, access to and through this area has been extremely difficult and burdensome for many residents and businesses. We acknowledge these difficulties and appreciate the public, especially residents and businesses around the areas of Market and Boro, being patient with us as we try to make these improvements.
