Sunset Drive from Shepard Lane to Western Drive will be closed to all traffic expect for residents living on Sunset Drive in that stretch. This closure is for installation of curb/sidewalk and reconstruction of Sunset Drive and will start Monday June 29th at 6:50 AM. This closure will be in effect off and on at least through the end of August. We appreciate your patience.
While work is progressing on Sunset Dr, we’d like to ask any individuals who do not live on Sunset Dr (between Western Dr and Shepard Ln), Saddleback Cir or 1750 S to please stay out of the Sunset Dr construction zone. Signage is posted restricting travel to “local traffic only”, but “local” specifically refers to the streets as mentioned above. Also, please remember that speed limits have been reduced to 10 miles an hour to protect vehicles and persons from construction equipment and material, but especially to help reduce airborne dust or debris. If you are driving in a construction zone, and you vehicle is creating visible dust, you are driving too fast for the conditions. We acknowledge the impact and inconvenience of the project, but with everyone’s help, we can finish the project in a safe and timely manner. Thank you for your consideration.
