In preparation for work on a section of water line replacement for the 200 N project, City crews have been working to shut down sections of existing water lines in order to connect the new sections of pipe. However, crews have had difficulty isolating the existing pipes because of aging valves not working effectively, so they are currently closing additional valves in different locations north and south of 200 N to assist.
Locations between 100 S and Crestwood may experience low water pressure, air in the water and even discoloration, which (although inconvenient) does not indicate the water is unsafe to use. This will continue through the day today, and could possibly continue into the weekend. We apologize for the inconvenience as we work to remove these aging portions of our infrastructure, but appreciate the continued patience and support of our community.
