Wilderness Park is 140 acres of wilderness with the Rocky Mountains as the backdrop containing 5 picnic areas. The picnic areas are only available for DAY USE and are first come first serve. There is a series of trails used for mountain biking, hiking, cross country skiing, and showshoeing that connect to the Bonneville Shoreline Trails. This also provides technical practice for our high school mountain biking teams.


WILDERNESS PARK RULES


  • Reservations can be made online at (coming soon!)

  • Cancellation with full refund of fees is accepted up to 72 hours of the reservation date. We do not reserve on Sundays.

  • Check-in time is 3:00 p.m.

  • Check-out time is 11:00 a.m.

  • Campsite charge is $20.00 a night, (1 night maximum) Non-residents $30.00 a night (1 night maximum)

  • Campsites are not available for more than 1 night.

  • No drive into the campsite. Campsites are walk-in only. Must park in the parking lot.

  • Tent only

  • Cleaning Procedures

    • All campers are required to pack out (no trace camping, which includes pet waste).

    • Campsites are limited to a maximum of 10 people.

  • Quiet hours are from 10:00 P.M. to 7:00 A.M. MUSIC MUST BE TURNED OFF AND VOICES AND NOISES KEPT DOWN. 

  • Possession of alcohol or drugs is prohibited. Smoking is prohibited in Kaysville City Parks. 

  • No discharging of weapons, firearms, or fireworks (including firecrackers & sparklers) in the park. 

  • CAMPFIRES ARE NOT ALLOWED

  • For special events at our parks that might require special permits complete this application form and email it to recreation@kaysvillecity.com

  • Absolutely NO cutting down of trees, brush or any other kind of vegetation. 

  • All pets must be kept on leashes at all times. Owners are responsible to clean up after their pets. 

  • No climbing on or in the trees.

  • ATV’s, golf carts, and off-road motorcycles are not allowed in the park, except as used by authorized Kaysville personnel only. 

  • Please be courteous to all other patrons.

  • Violations of City Code 12-2-7 "Camping or Sleeping Overnight" is a Class C Misdemeanor
